Gordon Setters are excellent with children and friendly to everyone. This breed is very active and does well with a large fenced yard. With enough exercise, Gordon Setters are calm indoors, but they may become hyperactive if they are cooped up for too long. Gordon Setters need firm, consistent, but kind training from an early age. They can be socialized to get along with other pets.
