Gordon Setter Rescue Information: The Gordon Setter is an intelligent, devoted companion. Gordon Setters are keen hunters. Gordon Setters are excellent with children and friendly to everyone. This breed is very active and does well with a large fenced yard. With enough exercise, Gordon Setters are calm indoors, but they may become hyperactive if they are cooped up for too long. Gordon Setters need firm, consistent, but kind training from an early age. They can be socialized to get along with other pets.

Gordon Setter Trivia: The Gordon Setter was popularized by Duke Alexander IV of Gordon in the late eighteenth century. Gordon Setters date back to seventeenth century Scotland. Gordon Setters like attention and can become jealous of other pets. Gordon Setters are also called Black and Tans. Gordon Setters are sometimes thought of as improved Spaniels.
